AppleInsider reports that Apple is preparing a new 27-inch LED cinema display for a June launch.
AppleInsider backed up their statement by saying the following:
“Two people familiar with the upcoming display say its been lingering in Apple’s labs for quite sometime, where it’s frequently referenced by the unique identifier/codename “K59.”
This 27-inch Cinema display would replace the current 24-inch cinema display. Apple has supposedly been waiting for a larger LED display with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixel. Of course, this is not confirmed by Apple and AppleInsider just stated “two people familiar” as their backup to their proof. There seems to be a good chance this display will, in fact, be released. Apple has released different size displays in the past: 20 inches and 24 inches, and if Apple was looking to update to a larger screen size, a 27 inch screen would be logical and would match the current size of the larger iMac.
