Nokia Adding Exchange Active Sync To 3rd Series And More

Nokia has announced that they have acquired a licensing agreement with Microsoft that gives this feature to most of it’s current handset models, that’s 43 at the moment. Right now this feature has been limited to most of the E Series, and a select few N Series.

Exchange Activesync pushes your email over the air to your mobile device, as well as synchronizes contacts, calendar events, and much more.

Any new handset from Nokia will have this support built in, as well as some Series 60 models that are upcoming as well. It seems Nokia is serious about Exchange Activesync.

Usually this is a feature of Windows Mobile’s have, so this is really nice for Nokia to help slide in their mobiles towards the business class. Why have something old and dull, when you could have an N96 for work?
