5 reasons why the N900 IS worth the wait
Jon and I were especially disappointed to discover that Nokia have pushed the N900 release date back again. This time to November 16th, which is only 4 days before Jon jets back to Canada.
While Jon didn’t come to the UK exclusively for the N900, the timing was set around the launch. I really hope Nokia don’t disappoint and delay it further.
We took a trip to London today and popped in to the Regent street store to reserve our N900. Staff there were not certain the phone would be released on the 16th but then I guess they’re used to delays and don’t want to make false promises.
Despite the frustrating delays, we’re still really looking forward to the N900. We sat down and discussed whether it was really worth the wait and concluded that it was undoubtably was. Here are our top 5 reasons to hold out for the Nokia N900.
1. No more Symbian, which frankly has become dated and stale.
2. It’s the first phone to feature the new Maemo 5 OS, which is fantastic and beautiful to boot.
3. N900 utilising Maemo 5 masters multitasking.
4. Nokia’s most powerful and full featured handset to date. High resolution 800 x 480 screen, 5mp camera, GPS, up 1GB application memory, 32GB HDD, 600 MHz ARM Cortex Processor and physical QWERTY.
5. It’s about the best fix we’re gonna find for the N97’s shortcomings.
We have extremely high hopes for the Nokia N900 and from what we’ve seen so far, we’re not going to be let down. We’ve given up with our N97, it’s currently in the phone drawer heaven. Fingers crossed it’s released on or before November 16th!
