Nokia N900 P2P Download and .AVI Playback
Unwired View has confirmed that users can download file using the P2P torrent network onto the Nokia N900. Something that is even more impressive, is that you can playback .AVI (avi/xvid encoded) files right away without the need of conversion or reconfiguration! This is a big step for Nokia, as they have always relied on conversion or the installation of third party programs to playback rather standard desktop video formats. The download speeds on the N900 are incredible, and are much faster than my rather-crappy semi-expensive residential Canadian cable internet (jealous).

Something that I noticed was that the N900 was running a really cool, “Halloweeny” black and orange theme. Since there has not been any known 3rd party themes for the N900 yet, it is safe to say this black and orange theme will come pre-installed on the device. This is good news, as it will give users more aesthetical freedom compare to having only one blue and black theme – which is also quite nice.
After you’ve downloaded and watched the movie, you’re gonna go out and buy the real BluRay/DVD copy.. righhhttt? Right.
