Fruit Ninja is a highly addictive application that has been out for the iPhone / iPod Touch for quite awhile, but never on the iPad. This is easily one of my top 5 favorite applications for the iPhone, maybe even my top application, so I was very excited to hear that an iPad version came out.
The iPad version is called Fruit Ninja HD and is a bit pricy, and at $4.99, I’m sure a lot of you might not buy the application. I was a little disappointed myself it was so expensive, but iPad apps are usually more expensive than iPhone apps.
The iPad version of the application has everything the iPhone version has – there is classic mode and zen mode, the dojo, openfeint, etc. There is one new feature, though, and this is that there is multiplayer mode. In multiplayer mode, you can choose between multiplayer class and multiplayer zen.
Fruit Ninja for iPad is available here in the app store for $4.99.

The WSJ reported today that according to “someone familiar with the matter,” Apple doesn’t plan to recall the iPhone 4 at tomorrow’s iPhone 4 press conference. So, that leaves only a few options for what Steve Jobs will announce tomorrow. Free bumpers for everyone who purchased an iPhone 4, free Apple store gift cards, extended return policy, a possible fix to the antenna issues on the iPhone 4, or, even, if we’re lucky, the white iPhone 4’s don’t have the same antenna problem, and that is the reason Apple has delayed the manufacturing on them. We’ll find out for sure tomorrow.

The Motorola Droid X, the powerhouse Motorola 4.3 inch Android smartphone, became available this morning on Verizon, and is officially sold out on the first production run of the phone. The phone’s shipping date is now pushed back to July 23rd, 8 days from now. In store sales for the phone have been pretty solid as well, and reports have shown that most Verizon Wireless stores sold out their entire first batch of DROID X units today, and for the stores that didn’t, the majority of their first batch were sold.

So, here’s a bit of relief for all you iPhone 4 owners. The Loop reported this afternoon that Apple is apparently holding a press conference on Friday that’s strictly about the iPhone 4.
Apple on Wednesday invited select press to a special press conference to be held this Friday in California.Apple would only say that the press conference would be regarding the iPhone 4. No other information was available when I spoke with them tonight.
So, is the iPhone 4 being recalled? Are we all getting free Bumpers? We’ll find out Friday. The conference starts at 10AM Pacific time (7 AM Eastern time) on Friday morning.

This is 100% seriously. I was feeling quite uncreative today, and there wasn’t much phone news to report one, which resulted in no Phoneage today. After spending about 2 hours trying to think of an episode idea, I gave up and did a Live Stream instead via uStream. Unfortunately, that Stream failed to record all the way. After lunch, I tried again, and sat in front of the camera.. and somehow.. this video was created!

Look what we have here, madness. Wal-Mart just put a Microsoft Kinect Bundle up for pre-order on the website. This post may turn into a little rant right about… now.
Is Kinect really going to be selling for 200 dollars? Even on Wal-Mart, where everything is pretty cheap, $200 for an add-on to a system. You can pick up an Xbox 360 for that price! The bundle does include the Kinect hardware, one game of your choice, and a $30 online-only gift card for $199. I guess it’s not as bad as only including the Kinect hardware. Still really expensive, in my opinion.
Also, games such as Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports, and Kinect Joyride are being listed for a whopping $60. Like Gizmodo mentioned, Kinect Sports should at least be included in this bundle for free. I mean, does this not seem expensive to any of you? A Kinect game for $60?

An iPhone 4 mysteriously and accidentally catches fire after it was plugged into a computer using the USB cable that came with the device. This was due to a malfunction with the USB connector. The user brought the iPhone 4 to get it exchanged at the Apple Store. The Apple employees were more than happy to provide him with a replacement – however, there were no phones in stock. Talk about insult to injury!

Engadget leaked what may be a lower-end Android phone called the Motorola WX445. This phone is set to be released on Verizon this year, and features Android 2.1. The phone has a camera with no flash and an unknown amount of megapixels, a touchscreen ranging between 2.5 inches and 3 inches, and a built-in 1170 mAh battery.

This week, Firefox 4 beta was released for Mac, Windows, and Linux users. At the moment, there are a couple of features that aren’t on the Mac or Linux versions of Firefox 4 beta yet, that are on the Windows versions, but these features will be coming soon. These features I just mentioned are two new adjustments to Firefox – the first one is that the tab location is changed. The tabs on Firefox 4 are now above the URL bar, instead of blow the URL bar. This is standard on Firefox 4 on Windows, but for Mac and Linux, it is not. For mac users, to get tabs above your URL bar on Firefox 4, go to View > Toolbars > Tabs on Top.
