On July 2, 2009, Nokia released a long-awaited firmware update for both the Nokia E71 and the Nokia E66. This is a major update, focusing primarily on the internet based applications such as Mail fo Exchange, Internet Radio, and various widgets. The firmware update also improves overall performance of the rather already stable interface, bringing the software out of version 210. and into 300. Just like any other firmware update, this one can be downloaded and installed through Nokia Software Updater.
According to All About Symbian, the E71 and E66 firmware updates are available to be installed with a EURO1 variant. To those who plan to update their devices, it is recommended that back up your devices before installing the firmware update.
