Welcome!!!! To the all new TEHKseven 4.0 mobile community!
With our spiffy new platform we are very excited to bring you some amazing new features! Even more in development!
We hope that T7 will continue to be the place you choose to spend your time, bring your friends, and share your awesome mobile content!

We would like to take this opportunity to share with members, new and old, our content rules and community guidelines!
We have established a simple set of guidelines for sharing your content to keep the galleries looking tip top.
Basically, you should keep this in mind when sharing at T7:

No porn. No personal. No outside, bit, or tiny links. Proper screens and tags.

This goes for all members, without exception.
Also keep in mind that all content is now approved before you or anyone will see it in the galleries.
This means the mods are looking at it before the public can download it.
There is no need to raise an alarm that your upload did not go through.
When approved it will be made available for download. If not approved you will receive a message.

The nitty gritty specific rules follow. We'd love it if you'd have a look!

SPECIFIC TO THEMES:

Upload a Proper Screenshot of the Theme.

Upload a screen shot of the Idle Page showing Signal Strength Icons and Clock.
If you don't upload a proper screenshot of the theme it will be REMOVED.

If you have a Nokia s60 or s60v3 mobile, use a ScreenShot application to get an image of your homescreen for the preview image.
If you have a Sony Ericsson, download Sony's Theme creator software, load up the theme and take a screenshot with your pc / laptop.
Use your image editing program to crop out the standby screen for a proper preview shot.

If you upload a photo of car, or a pic of a doggie sitting at a table with a fork, or of yourself at the Grand Canyon, the theme will be REMOVED.
It might be an awesome pic, but it doesn't show members what the theme looks like.

Upload multiple screens if you have them. This is easy to do and will really show off your hard work.
Multiple screenshots will increase your downloads and comments, resulting in a more active profile and community recognition.

REGARDING ALL CONTENT:

Do a quick search to see if the content you want to share is already here:

Multiple uploads of the same clip from the 'Halloween Theme' are not necessary.
Ringtone editing programs, tutorials, and advice are readily available in the forum to help you learn to share your original content!

Free AUDIO, IMAGE, and SVG editing online tools are available to everyone at Aviary.
Also, free online THEME generators are available at Ownskin.

Create and store your theme elements at Aviary and use them to create your theme at Ownkin, then share it here! This eliminates the need to have your own pc to work from! Members who visit from libraries and internet cafes are now able to create and share! Please search the forums for a list of downloadable theme and ringtone resources.



Give artist credit where possible.

Most of us use a creative commons wallpaper, a free icon pack, or some element that didn't originate with us to make the content we'd like to share. It's always nice to share the name of that artist with a link when possible. As well, T7 employs a creative commons policy. Expect any wallpapers, ringtones, or elements you share to be used in the work of others, often resulting in similar themes.



No Pornographic Content. No Personal Content:

No porn. Pretty clean cut here, no exceptions. We have all age groups here at TEHKseven.
No personal themes. Please don't upload themes or pictures of your dog, or your car, or your friends face.

As well, do not upload pornographic or personal ringtones.
It is fine to offer a ringtone that says "Amy calling!" but that's as personal as a public share needs to be.

Content of ANY adult nature will be subject to staff review. Any themes deemed inappropriate by review can be censored or deleted without prior notice. This of course means nudity, sexually suggestive images, etc. as well as content that depicts self mutilation, harm to oneself or others, alcohol, drugs, or gambling. Anything that could be deemed inappropriate for young members falls into this area.



Correct Galleries, Titles, & Tags:

The upload process is pretty streamlined, and it's easy to assign things to their proper place.
Upload your themes and wallpapers to the correct family of phones, and to the correct handset.
No one likes downloading a theme or wallpaper that doesn't work on their mobile.

All uploads should be assigned to a relevant section, such as 'nature' or 'television'.
Very little belongs in 'miscellaneous', and 'abstract' should be only abstract.
Some content may have several possibilities, so assign to the most prominent category, and use your tags to do the rest.

Make sure you give your theme a descriptive title, this helps the search engine.
If you don't know what kind of flower wallpaper you're uploading, the title "Flower" will work fine.
But, if you know it's a rose or tulip, you should title it so. Better yet, "Pink Rose" or "Red Tulip" etc.
Do not put your name in the uploads title, ie XXX by 'whoever' , this is unnecessary as your name gets added to the gallery title anyway.

Tags should be properly used when uploading, and can also be edited on the download page.
Use one word tags as a rule, such as 'blue', 'tux', 'pepsi', and 'animated'.
Use multiple word tags where relevant, to streamline very specific content, such as 'Doctor Who' or 'german shepherd'.
Example: Searching 'german' or 'shepherd' might get you all sorts or content of Germany or guys with crooks and flocks.
Searching 'german shepherd' is most likely to get you only content of the specific dog breed.

Tags should not be the authors name, or be mis-used in any way. For example, 'please rate' or 'you'll like it'.

***Also keep in mind that all content is now approved before you or anyone will see it in the galleries.

When approved it will be made available for download. If not approved you will receive a message.

If you do not properly manage your upload, it will be REMOVED and you will be directed again to these rules.
Repeat negligence can result in action against your account, not excluding suspension or banning.



Do Not Link To Themes Outside Tehkseven:

Simple. If you wish to share your themes please upload them here. Do not post outside links to your work in our forum.



Do not advertise other website details in content info, description, title, comments, or forums.

If you wish to arrange advertising on T7, please use the Contact link at the top of the page.



Finally, please make a note of allowed file sizes to avoid errors during upload process!

For T7 to remain a pleasant and useful place to spend your time, we need teamwork between staff and community.
Please observe the following guidelines in the forums, ensuring everyone a great TEHKseven experience!


Please first do a search before you post a new topic, or request.

It is very likely someone has already experienced your problem and a solution is available.
If you do not find the help you need by using our search engine, by all means please post for assistance!

Refrain from using personal messages for assistance. Site admin and staff have a lot to manage on a daily basis, and personal messages may be lost in the shuffle of daily duties. We have a very friendly and knowledgeable community who are eager to help. We all want to answer your questions and help everyone to the best of our ability. Please be considerate and ask in the public forums so available members can quickly and accurately give you the answers you seek. These answers will remain for the next member who needs help, making TEHKseven even better!



Please take a moment to look and make sure you are posting in the correct forum for your need.

This will help us help you, faster.

We do have minors who use this site, and all members are expected to be responsible.
Anything pornographic, racist, homophobic, political, demeaning, or deemed of poor taste will be REMOVED.

We openly encourage freedom of speech but please keep comments and feedback positive.
Constructive criticism should be offered only when an artist has requested it, with emphasis on constructive.
We are all here to share and learn from each other. Flaming will not be tolerated.

*** If you are experiencing problems with another member attacking you in the forums, or sharing your content, PLEASE do not initiate contact or respond to attacks. Report the issue to T7 staff and allow us the time to review and resolve the problem without drama, slander, and hurt feelings. This is why we are called moderators, after all, and we promise to give your reports the attention they deserve in a timely manner. Most of these things come down to miscommunication, and this process allows everyone to continue to have a pleasant stay here.



Please DO NOT report the misuse of content which does not originate with YOU.

To properly review a claim of mis-sharing we need information that only the author can provide dependably. Everyone appreciates concern for author credit, but your efforts can only be served when pertaining to your own original content.



Finally, please pay attention to the sizes of your signatures!

Signatures should not exceed 500x250 pixels.
