While playing about with my latest theme, I thought I would do a mmcforums 'wait bar indicator' [svg],
just as a kind of site watermark on a theme, I don't think it's too obtrusive.

It's the little animated bar when you check your memory etc
You can change the background colour gradient and the text colour in carbide.

Anyway to do something like this in SETC?

Also, how do folks on SE get the standby to say 'odbot themes' etc. instead of Sony Ericsson? I'd like mine to say 'mmcforums.net'

i've just found a way to get your theme to display "mmcforums.net" on ur standy screen when u upload screen shots.I'll try and make this simple, sorry if it's not!

1.download lasyk theme creator http://myforum.lasyk...mp;d=1228236532 (requires registration)

2.once intalled, open theme creator, and go to HELP along the top, open THEME PROPERTIES, and at the bottom where it says PREVIEW, type in your desired operator name (ie, mmcforums.net/tricksypicksy)

3.once done, press the red cross and go to FILE and open your desired theme, and hay presto, operator name should be as you typed in!

4.now go to EDIT and SAVE CURRENT SCREEN, and there's your screenshot with your operater name!

Hope this helps eveyone who wondered how to do this, well works for me, unless there's another way.

Nice way suggested Tricksy. But this could be done the best by Photo filter software .That would give you the best results.

I have updated that wait bar file, you should be able to change the text colour in carbide as well now. For some reason if I saved the text as it was, in black, it couldn't be edited, but change the colour and it can, even when changing back to black again  . Maybe it needs 'coloured' in some way first.

You can change the background colour gradient in carbide, not the text for some reason.

I'm a newbie when it comes to finalizing my theme...

How do I create/edit those waiting bars to match my theme? I've tried editing the colors of the theme but it doesn't change on my phone. I'm stuck with that lime green bar and the stripy one as well...

Please help

Barend

The animation window that opens up will show all the frames of the animation, you have to edit each one of them, or paste in your own elements into each frame, you can also add or delete frames.

Short answer is no you do not need to touch this.

I'm not actually sure what this is, my guess is it's to do with the speed/movement of the built in animated wait bars??

okay, thx for your response, RobJM :)
maybe there is a rapport with bar when you're installing an application ??
one more thing : could you (or other people) tell me if i'm right about bars :
- waiting bar is for connection with internet ?
- progress bar is for applications with maybe increment waiting bar ?

cya :)

Progress bar is the one that has no animation, it just gradually increases in length, like the in the music player,or when you are installing something.[this maybe what your above screenshot refers to].
The wait bar is usually the animated one, default one has angled bars moving along a line[like a barbers pole], it's what pops up when you check your 'memory details'

ok, right !
understand :D
maybe the wait bar increment is used when you don't change the animated wait bar or put it on transparent , who knows.. :D.
never mind, i continue my theme, cya -_-
