I am having a bit of problem regarding svg files.
One is that I am using Inkscape 0.46 to make my projects.
Now I made a number of clocks in the new window of icon 64*64 and saved them as inkscape.svg format.

When I used them in my theme to copy and paste they work fine and exactly
the way where i can change colours in carbide 3.4.

The problem is , that in the same process I made my own icons under icon 64*64 window .

And have saved them each in all 4 formats to test.
i.e. Inkscape.svg, plain.svg, compressed.svg and compressed plain.svg.

But when I copy and paste these to my theme icon , none of the above formats work.

HOw to overcome this problem?
Where I am facing problems?

Please suggest what should be done so that I can save them in a format and copy paste them into my theme icons.

Do I need to use any other tool to change these svg files to some other form?
I read that it needs to be saved to svg1.0 form.But how to do so?

Please suggest ,if there is any other tool.

@Dhanu ....I have installed Adobe Illustrator on my computer.A registered version .Ie Adobe Illustrator CS. and I am making svg files there,
When I save it gives me saving option in svg and svgz format.

I saved in svg format , and then took my own self created icons in themes.It works .

Does that mean saving the icons in svg format , will result in all my icons to work in my themes , or is there any other way to save them in svgt format?

Please let me know.

Is adobe Illustrator CS version okay for my theme making?
