The aim of this forum is to try and help all the themers, wallpaper creators, ringtone makers etc out there, beginners and experienced alike.
This is really for people who want to have a go at making things themselves,if you don't, you can always use the Theme/Wallpaper/Ringtone request forums. :)

The list is endless, anything graphical you want help with....
If you want to know how to make your wallpaper the correct size,to crop it so it doesn't look distorted, maybe remove some text from it,or even add text to it.
You've maybe seen a theme element,or you are trying to make your own, but don't know how to get the correct 'look' you want, maybe a glossy look,a drop shadow etc etc.
You maybe want a ringtone of a part of your favourite song, but are not sure how to go about it.

So basically, if you've sat wondering 'How can I do that?' Ask away here and hopefully someone will pick up your request and make a tutorial for you, to show you exactly what you have to do.
Although please look through the Tutorials Forum first in case someone has already made the tutorial you want.

Things you need to put in your request..

1) 1 request per post, keeps the forum tidy and saves any confusion :) do not post your requests by reply to this post, use the 'Start A New Topic' button.

2) As much detail of what you want to know, if required, screenshots would be helpful.

3) What software/programs you have on your PC, if any, that you have to make your request with,if you don't have software we will recommend a free one and base the tutorial on that.

Also bare in mind, tutorials can take a fair bit of time to create,so please be a bit patient, and check your request post in case there are any follow up questions in order to fulfil your request.

ANY members out there are welcome to post tutorials to help out with these requests, all we ask is you respond to the request here, to let everyone know you are doing it, so we don't have everyone doing the same tutorials. Then when you have done the tutorial, post it in the Tutorials forum and post a link to it in the request here, maybe even PM the requester when you have done so.

We have a great community here, with lots of talented artists, and people willing to help out when they can, so hopefully we will be able to help you out.

If you are using svg icons you don't need photoshop to colour them , you can change the colours in Carbide.

I don't know about Scribus , can it edit/create vector graphics? Inkscape is a free alternative to Illustrator , it has a different layout so you may need to play about with it to get the same results.
