Making Transparent Softkeys

am having problems making Transparent Softkeys via inkscape am kinda new here because i use Ai most of the time can someone help me with this my friends

i am using AI too...... why don't u try make them there?
anyway... what kind of problem do u face? (just in case i can help u... or someone else who is much beter designer tha i am....)

am trying out this inkscape bro i tried making transparent softkeys and when i put it on carbide, carbide cant detect it as transparent, i have no problem with Ai thou do i need to make the softkeys mask transparent too?

u need to make the mask black...... it's all u need......
i don't know why carbide makes our lives so difficult.......

It's all in the mask, as thabull says. Black mask will make the soft keys invisible, white mask will make them solid. Try shades of grey for the mask, this will give you the transparent look.

@Xprobert - Don't know about Carbide but i did read it at nokia forum to use black and it's dark shades for making the mask... This makes the softkeys transparent...!!

@robert..... u can play with shades of grey as tony said, but imho is easier to play with % of transparency when creating the softkey and keep the mask black. this way, it won't be confusing in every theme u will be creating.....

wow i asked he right people thanks tony and bull all i need to is make the mask like black or grey scale thanks a lot my brothers @ nick its the one used for theme making =D

Color code for softkey/control key mask(in carbide).
#ffffff = full visible.
#000000 = full transparent.
#969696 = semi transparent.
